Welcome to the official minutes of the 36th Regular Meeting of Rotaract Club Dhaka NextGen, held with enthusiasm and active participation from members and guests.
Meeting Highlights
- Call to Order and Opening Formalities:
- Sergeant-at-Arms Rotaractor Md. Tarif opened the session by requesting silence and invited the Club President Rotaractor Syed Ashikur Rahman to lead the meeting.
- The meeting began with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Rotaractor Majedur Rahman, followed by the Rotaract Purpose recited by Rotaractor Ummay Faria Brishti, who also led attendees in showing respect.
- The National Anthem was sung in unison.
- Introductions:
- Attendees introduced themselves, and the President introduced key Vice Presidents and Honorary Members of the club.
- Secretary’s Report:
- Acting Secretary Rotaractor Rabeya Ahmed Mahi presented updates from the mailbox and read minutes of the previous meeting.
- The meeting minutes were reviewed, agreed upon, and approved by the President.
- Club Activities:
- A fun-filled Club Service event was conducted by Rotaractor Ummay Faria Brishti, with Fundraising Director Rotaractor Nabil Zaman emerging as the winner.
- New member Sajeda Islam delivered a welcome speech and engaged in a discussion on Rotaract’s purpose and goals.
- Upcoming Plans and Key Appointments:
- The editorial team shared upcoming plans for publications.
- Rotaractor Nusrat Jahan Rimu was appointed Acting Treasurer during the absence of Rotaractor Saoda Binte Newaz.
- Professional Service Director Rotaractor Ummay Faria Brishti outlined future projects.
- Rotaractor Rotarian M.A. Rafsan Jani announced plans for the “Walkathon” event, the first in Rotary Rotaract movements.
- Attendance and Closing:
- A detailed attendance report highlighted active participation with 13 members, 4 guests, and 1 Rotarian present.
- The President adjourned the meeting with an invitation to the next session.
